The Whole Candida Crusher Plan Explained

candida3

Candida albicans (also known as candidiasis or a yeast infection) has become a hidden epidemic in many parts of the world. It has been and is increasingly becoming a major illness in its own right, as well as a contributing and underlying causative factor in many other chronic illnesses. Health problems involving yeast infections are one of the primary reasons patients come to see us as natural healthcare professionals, and for over twenty years, people have come seeking my assistance with many different yeast infection related health issues.

If you suspect or know that you may be suffering from a yeast infection, Candida Crusher provides you with right guidelines for understanding the causes of candidiasis, as well as diagnosing and treating this common condition with nutrition and natural medicine in addition to incorporating the appropriate lifestyle changes.

There are several reasons why candida is such a major issue today; just as big a problem if not bigger than it was in the eighties when everybody talked about it. It is easy to think that this condition only affects a few people when in fact yeast overgrowth and dysbiosis are rampant conditions affecting countless people we see today. It has been estimated that more than 60 million people in America alone are affected by yeast infection and the number is increasing.

In the eighties it was called a yeast infection or candidiasis, but many people today who have a yeast infection believe they have (or may mistakenly been diagnosed as having) irritable bowel syndrome, a food allergy, gluten intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis or many other different conditions which may appear at first to be an illness in their own right, but in fact have a yeast infection as one of their underlying and primary causes. Yeast infections today are more prevalent than they have ever been since not only the discovery and rampant prescribing of antibiotics and steroidal drugs, but other drugs such as immune modulating drugs and anti-inflammatory drugs, aka NSAIDS. Sugar-laden foods have never been so cheap and widely available in history previously, and our ever-increasing consumption of sugars in our diets (like high fructose corn syrup) along with an increasing reliance of packaged, processed and take-out foods, we can expect yeast infections to only get worse in the future.

Today, our high level of technological advances coupled with sedentary lifestyles mean that many people do not exercise adequately nor pay sufficient attention to maintaining healthy (home-cooked) diets and balanced (low-stress) lifestyles. Yeast infections therefore play an even greater role today than they ever have at any time in our history, and they seem especially common in the hurried, worried and stressed kinds of people. The people who most commonly seem to get yeast infections are the same kinds of people who tend to get adrenal fatigue, they tend to be the busy people, the workers, the doers, the A-type people, careers or over-achievers.

Why Digestive Enzymes With Yeast Infections?

Heat Destroys Enzymes – The Less Heat The Better

If you are surprised that diseases are innumerable, count the cooks. Seneca (4 BC-AD 65)

By Eric Bakker N.D.

1172369_36721123A question I get asked regularly is this: “Why do I need to take enzymes because I have a yeast infection?”, and for this reason I wrote the following article. I read a book a few years ago called Enzyme Nutrition written by Dr. Edward Howell, and was surprised to discover that heating foods about 48 Centigrade (118 Fahrenheit) kills any enzymes in the food. Without enzymes in the foods you consume, your body has to start relying on producing an increasing amount of its own digestive enzymes to satisfy the demand. Those who eat refined or processed foods regularly will find that their digestion will begin to suffer, along with their energy and overall well being. Those with a Candida yeast infection will find that it is most important to maintain an excellent level of enzymes in their digestive system because candida does not like a gut associated with higher level of enzymatic activity. High enzymatic activity maintains a low pH (acid) environment in your stomach in particular, which discourages bad bacteria and yeasts from proliferating. Enzymes can also assist in busting open the cell walls of bacteria and yeasts, rendering them incapable of functioning.

Related articles:

Anybody with a yeast infection who is serious about recovery should remain on a enzyme formula until they have fully recovered; the difference they make is astonishing. Some of the best candida supplements contain enzymes for this very reason, and this is why I developed a product containing several different key enzymes along with probiotics to assist in not only in improving your digestion, but is destroying an intestinal yeast overgrowth directly while reducing inflammation, all at the same time.

Microwave Cooking Destroys Enzymes

Enzymes are not only intolerant to heat, but also to irradiation from microwaves, and this is a very good reason to avoid cooking any foods in a microwave oven. Pasteurization also kills off any enzymes, and the milk you buy from the supermarket is “dead” for this reason.

There is a big movement the past several years amongst many enlightened people who appreciate natural health, to start using real milk from the cow again just as nature had intended. I made an interesting discovery some years ago that many people who cannot tolerate milk due to food allergies or intolerances can often tolerate unpasteurized and unhomogenized fresh milk. It is because there are plenty of natural enzymes in real milk, enzymes that have become deactivated and destroyed by the heating and sterilizing process. Many raw and fresh foods such as milk contain their own highly specialized enzymes, and if these are supplied it will be that much easier for the body to process it.

Another interesting observation is that human beings the only creatures that cook their foods, and over the past few hundred years we have developed the tendency to cook or heat everything we put in our mouths. Health experts now believe that many humans die below half their potential lifespan, and that much of the development of our chronic and degenerative illness and most of the premature deaths we face can be put down to faulty dietary and lifestyle measures.

When you think about it for one moment, cooking is the most profound abuse of food. But don’t get me wrong, as I mentioned earlier, I’m certainly not a fan of eating everything raw. But to me, there is nothing more satisfying than biting into a fresh apple or a juicy tomato, or enjoying the smooth and creamy taste of a fresh avocado. Once we start to cook and bake foods we tend to load them up after either sugar, salt or a host of spices to bring out the flavors destroyed by cooking and make no mistake, the nutritional value will have vanished along with the color.

Isn’t it interesting that many health-conscious people of today steer clear of processed and refined foods, but will not think twice about placing foods in boiling water, wrapping it in aluminum foil, place it in a styrene container, or cook their foods in a microwave or in an conventional oven? These same health-conscious people tend to forget that heating foods to very high temperatures is actually processing foods. We have been told that the less food is processed, the better. Then why process nearly everything we eat, but then tell ourselves that supermarket foods are not OK because they are processed?

Just be aware of the fact that processed foods are not just foods you buy from supermarkets in packets, boxes and cans, they are also the healthy foods you cook to very high temperatures are home when you place them in the oven or microwave. Try to eat some fresh and raw foods each and every day, your digestion will improve and you will be amazed and delighted at the difference that eating “living” foods can make.

I love cats, and the healthiest cat I ever had was fed on one large, fresh sardine each day. I drove a garbage truck for several years when I was a naturopathy student and found a tiny little kitten in a garbage can on one of my rounds. I named it Wally, and fed my cat only on fresh and raw fish which I received regularly from a fish shop on my rounds. Everybody commented how amazingly beautiful Wally looked, his eyes and coat were the healthiest and shiniest of any cat I’ve ever owned, and I have no doubt it was his diet because he consumed every part of the sardine including the head, gut and even the scales. This is in stark contrast to how most people feed their cats, on highly processed biscuits or cooked canned foods. We currently have four cats, and one of our cats, a birman, prefers to eat raw meats like chicken and beef, in contrast to our tabby who only likes dried biscuit cat food. The difference in both the appearance and health between both these cats is amazing.

If you have the opportunity to feed your pet on fresh, raw and unprocessed foods, you will be absolutely amazed at the difference it can make. Imagine if you ate predominantly fresh, raw and unprocessed foods, your digestive problems would be solved literally in weeks or a couple of months, and your yeast infection would soon follow. And, you would look and feel amazing too!

What Kind Of Yeast Infection Patient Are You?

https://www.dreamstime.com/-image22807359Are you a category 1, 2 or 3 yeast infection patient?

After being in clinical naturopathic practice for 25 years, you do tend to see a lot of patients over a prolonged period of time, tens of thousands in fact. In that period of time, I worked out that there are three basic kinds of Candida patients I tend to see, and this post may explain a little to those out there who tend to have a poor recovery from a chronic Candida yeast infection. Try to figure out if you are patient # 1, 2 or 3, you will soon recognize which category you are in. It should come as no surprise that you will only get out of your Candida program what you put into it, and the more serious and committed you are, the quicker and easier it will be to get great results!

# 1 – Recover quickly and permanently from a yeast infection

These are the kind of patients make up about sixty percent of the people we regularly see as health care professionals with yeast infections. They have one or more strong symptoms that have become chronic and are looking for a quick and effective cure. They may also have recently developed an acute yeast infection and want it gone fast! They are easy to work with because they return regularly for follow-up visits and are committed to making the right diet and lifestyle changes right from the start, after reading my book Candida Crusher. They take the dietary supplements as recommended and come back regularly for more supplements when they run out. They may have taken an antibiotic in the past but now know the destructive powers of these drugs and try to avoid pharmaceutical drugs whenever they can.

# 2 –Delayed recovery, need to learn more lessons

These are the kind of patients that make up approximately 25 percent of the people I see with yeast infections. They tend to be somewhat more care-free in their approach to fighting their chronic yeast infection. They tend to be “too busy” to make the right lifestyle and dietary changes and are not fully committed. They skip return-visits to my office, or just seem to “forget” appointments. They take dietary supplements “whenever they remember”, and sometimes come back to get more when they run out. They can become a # 1 category patient with a little persuasion and support, but unfortunately there are plenty in this group who end up becoming # 3 type patients. I guess their priorities are just not there, or their symptoms are not bothering them as much as the patients in category # 1. They are not that concerned about drugs and still take antibiotics when prescribed by their doctor, because “that wise doctor always knows best”.

# 3 –Don’t really ever fully recover, after a quick-fix

These are the kind of patients that make up the smallest percentage of those we see, approximately 10 to 15%. They come once and don’t come back again; they came for a “quick fix” or were only looking for a pill to control one or more symptoms. They can become # 2 patients in time with plenty of support and encouragement, but the reality is that many in this third category unfortunately don’t want to make any changes at all. These are the people who keep on eating and drinking the wrong kinds of things, they work much too hard and stress too hard. Many folks here are simply in denial and don’t believe in cause and effect, others are more interested in lotions and potions to “cure” their yeast infection but want to continue on drinking wine or beer, eating take-out and generally contributing to one or several of the underlying causes of their chronic yeast infection. And because they don’t address the causes, they end up feeling half-well & half-sick for many years, sometimes all their lives.

8 Yeast Infection Prevention Tips for Those In a Wheelchair

"Are you in a wheelchair and have noticed that you have a yeast infection?

I began to realize how important this page may be for those who are bound to a wheel chair, perhaps those who are paraplegic or tetraplegic. I had a Skype consultation with a 31 year old lady just yesterday who was in an unfortunate accident when she was 18 years old and broke her cervical spine (neck). This brave lady has had a struggle for many years trying to adapt to her lifestyle but finally overcame most all of her obstacles. Her problem was one I regularly see with wheelchair bound patients – a yeast infection. If you are a wheelie patient, and especially if you can relate to what I’m writing here, then I would highly recommend that you buy a copy of the Candida Crusher, it will give you the best information if you want to keep that yeast infection at bay, regardless whether you are in a wheelchair or not.

Wheelchair Bound Can Mean a Long-Term Yeast Infection

When you think about it, it makes sense. Being in a wheelchair certainly affects your mobility to a large degree. You may well end up (like many) with a recurrent urinary tract infection due to catheterization. Some have recurrent digestive issues like constipation, requiring suppositories or other medications. In many instances, infections seem more common in those who are wheelchair bound, and infections mean antibiotics. And what happens when you take an antibiotic recurrently? That’s right – you are a sitting duck for a yeast infection. And what happens if you are constantly on a low-grade antibiotic? You guessed it, you will end up with several species of Candida besides candida albicans, besides other bugs like parasites and “bad” bacteria.

8 Yeast Prevention Tips for Those In a Wheelchair:

Did you know that sitting down all day long with little chance of moving around will mean that you are creating a perfect environment for those bugs like yeasts and various bacteria to grow? This is because the urinary tract, digestive system and particularly your crotch all provide the best possible environment for yeasts and bacteria to thrive. This will be even more so if the person is unable to look after her own personal care or is trapped in a nursing home or facility with poor care by the nursing staff, which is more common than you may think.

I’ve learned a few tricks from various health-care professionals like doctors, occupational therapists and physiotherapists as well as by trial and error with many infirm patients how to prevent most vaginal yeast infections and antibiotic-induced yeast infections.

  1. Proper personal hygiene is important, be sure that the crotch and rectal areas are thoroughly washed with an antibacterial/anti-fungal soap like tea tree oil soap. Those who are disabled are best seated on an appropriate chair such as a shower chair.
  2. Be sure to rinse these private areas carefully and thoroughly with clean running water to move away any traces of dead skin, debris, bacteria and yeast. Use one of those removable shower heads.
  3. Use a hair dryer to ensure a more complete dryness of the crotch and rectal areas, this is a neat trick that works very well and discourages moisture which yeasts thrive in.
  4. Use a little natural anti-fungal powder (see you local health-food shop) to help mop up any perspiration in these areas as well.
  5. Be sure to only sit on cotton materials which tend to absorb perspiration, and real sheepskin is even better. Merino wool is one of the best products to use close to skin, merino undergarment are good as the breathe and take perspiration up, thereby keeping it away from the skin.. Avoid wearing nylon underwear or sitting on synthetic materials like plastic.
  6. Try not to wear clothing that is too tight or restrictive. If you perspire a lot or the weather is quite warm, like in summer, then get into the habit of changing clothing more frequently to avoid the accumulation of excessive perspiration.
  7. Take natural medicines if you get frequent urinary tract infections. Ask your practitioner about Mannose powder, is is a natural medicine that will help prevent bacteria that cause yeast infections from adhering to the wall of your bladder and urethra, thus helping to prevent a urinary tract infection, in addition to help you overcome your existing infection faster. Buy some kidney or urinary tea from your health-food shop and take a probiotic regularly. Drink plenty of water.
  8. Reduce but better avoid the foods which may have an effect on kidney function, such as chocolate, silverbeet (Swiss chard), rhubarb and fizzy (carbonated) drinks.

Chronic Yeast Infection – Symptoms & Treatment Solution For YOU

In this post I would like to cover the topic of “Chronic Yeast Infection”, I will reveal the symptoms, what actually causes chronic yeast, and some natural treatment options available for YOU.

Yeast infection is typically caused by Candida albicans. Candida is a normal resident of human body in small numbers, living in and on the warm, moist areas of the body. A yeast infection is the result of an overgrowth of Candida which may occur due to variety of reasons. Candidiasis is the medical term used to describe the infection due to yeast. A Candida yeast infection is generally not life-threatening (although it can and does occur) but it definitely can cause serious discomfort and very much affect the quality of a person’s life. The most commonly occurring infections due to an overgrowth of candida tend to be vaginal yeast infection, skin yeast infections, nail yeast infections as well as throat and oral thrush. A chronic yeast infection is a yeast infection which can potentially persist for a very long time which may be weeks or months or sometimes even many years.

What causes chronic yeast infection?

Generally, a yeast infection is not necessarily accompanied by a serious health problem. But, a chronic yeast infection may reflect a more serious underlying disease. There are certain diseases which can weaken the immune system of body and may result in a chronic yeast infection. It may be a symptom of diabetes mellitus or cancers like leukemia. It may also be a symptom of HIV infection or early stages of AIDS. Some other factors such as use of birth control pills or menopausal hormone replacement therapy may also be a factor in candida infection. Regular use of estrogen pills can cause a shift in the hormonal balance of your body, and this shift in hormonal balance causes a change in the pH of vagina. This change can provide a favorable environment for growth of yeasts. One of the most common of the drug-related yeast infection causes however, is the liberal use of antibiotic drugs, and a lesser-know cause is the use of antibiotics in our food chain, for example commercial poultry.

Some cases of chronic yeast infection may result from poor hygiene, or the use of products like detergents and perfumes containing harmful chemical agents. A woman may also repeatedly get infected from his partner via sexual intercourse, if the partner is suffering from yeast infection.

Does pregnancy increase the risk of a chronic yeast infection?

During pregnancy, the pH of the vagina changes due to hormonal changes in pregnancy. This pH change may cause an imbalance between the beneficial lactobacillus bacteria present in vagina and assist in the proliferation of Candida albicans. Hormone replacement therapy and birth control pills also exert a similar effect. An increase in the level of estrogen can feed the yeast and potentially cause yeast to overgrow resulting, in chronic yeast infection. This also explains why many women also have a tendency to having an increase in yeast infection pre-menstrually, as opposed to after their period.

What are the symptoms of chronic yeast infection?

Women suffering from chronic yeast infection commonly experience itching in genital area, vulva and vagina. Although these symptoms can be caused by other diseases, a chronic yeast infection is the commonest cause. Burning and pain in vulval area and vagina are also common. A whitish vaginal discharge having may also accompany the pain and itching, and it can range from being a thin discharge to even having the appearance of cottage cheese.

Men suffering from chronic candida infection may have a rash over the penis which can be very itchy, especially uncircumcised males. A yeast infection can commonly affect men on the inner thigh close to their scrotum, or even cover the whole scrotal area.

Some patients with a yeast infection may experience a sore throat and a yeast infection of the mouth and/or tongue. On examination, white layer or patches may be seen inside the oral cavity and even covering parts of or the entire tongue.

Some other non-specific symptoms associated with chronic yeast infection are abdominal pain, gas, diarrhea, bloating, indigestion and heartburn.

How chronic yeast infection can be treated?

My first advise would be to see a Naturopath in your city most of them follow my Candida Crusher protocol which can help you greatly. However, if you are someone who likes to save money and go on about treating their chronic yeast on their own then you can also get a copy of my book Candida Crusher.

What about OTC and supplements?

Although chronic yeast infection can be treated with OTC (over-the-counter) medications, there are many highly effective natural treatments available as well. I would advise you however to be careful about any serious health conditions which may underlie chronic yeast infection and for this reason it is important that you have a proper diagnosis. You may like to visit your health-care professional, to see whether you are indeed suffering from a yeast infection or from a more serious medical condition such as diabetes mellitus. You may like to complete my yeast infection survey to see if you have a mild, moderate or severe case of yeast infection.

There are many different anti-fungal drugs available to treat chronic yeast infections. These may be ointments or creams for local application or may be tablets for oral use. For vaginal yeast infection, vaginal suppositories are also available. Some of these drugs are over-the-counter and some are prescription drugs. For chronic yeast infection these drugs need to be used for a long time; which may be weeks, months or even years in cases such a chronic vaginal, skin or nail infection of yeast. I want you to be aware of the futility of using a pharmaceutical drug over and again for a yeast infection, yeast is a clever organism and in time you will only develop drug resistance, and potentially develop even more virulent and stronger strains of candida, which may be potentially extremely difficult to eradicate.

It is better to get advice from your health-care professional, particularity a person who specializes in yeast infections, if you are suffering from a chronic yeast infection. In addition, it is important that your partner should also be treated at the same time as you if you are suffering from chronic or recurrent vaginal yeast infection, or jock itch.

What If I Leave Chronic Yeast Infection Untreated?

WARNING! Watch my video below “What Are The Consequences Of A Chronic Yeast Infection When Left Untreated? Pay close attention! to what I have to say in this video.

What are the natural treatments for chronic yeast infection?

Yoghurt: Yoghurt is a good natural source of Lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria, which constitutes a major part of our normal bacterial flora. As you have read earlier, the imbalance in the bacterial flora is a cause of chronic yeast infection, and replenishing these beneficial bacteria will help in overcoming a chronic yeast infection. I have written extensively about yogurt in my book Candida Crusher, and you will find plenty of information in section 1 of chapter 7.

Garlic: Garlic has very good anti-fungal properties. For maximum benefit one should take small amounts of raw garlic on a very regular basis. If you can include a few cloves of fresh garlic and swallow with a glass of water once or twice daily, it will give you the maximum benefit. It can also be used in the form of vaginal suppository. You may peel off a garlic clove and tie it to a string and use as suppository. For yeast infection of your skin, garlic paste can be used for local application, particularly with toenail fungus. You can read much more about the virtues of garlic in section 4 on chapter 7 in my book Candida Crusher.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil has excellent anti-fungal properties and I consider it one of the most effective of all effective natural remedies for yeast infection, particularly when used externally. It can be applied to the affected area after dilution. It can also be applied either directly to the vagina or a tampon dipped in it can be used, but be sure to use the water-soluble variety of Tea Tree Oil. Be careful about irritation which tea tree oil may cause; discontinue the use if that happens and wash the area thoroughly with plain water. You are safer using water-soluble teat Tree Oil vaginally, and straight tea Tree Oil on your toe nail fungus. My book Candida Crusher contains a lot of valuable information on the uses of Tea Tree Oil, because I have over twenty years of experience in recommending it for various kinds of yeast infections. Be sure to buy a copy of Candida Crusher, you will find an incredible amount of hints and tips on using this most amazing natural medicine in my book.

Vinegar: Vinegar being a mildly acidic substance has the property of arresting the growth of yeasts. A good quality organic apple cider vinegar is the best vinegar to use, avoid all commercial (white) vinegars. Vinegar can also be used to take a sitz bath after adding it to the lukewarm water. It acts as an instant reliever. There is plenty of information on the best uses of vinegar with yeast infections in my book Candida Crusher.

Coconut oil: Coconut oil is known to have good anti-fungal properties. It can be either applied directly to the affected area of body or taken orally. You will find much useful information about coconut and its anti-fungal properties in my book Candida Crusher.

Oil of oregano: This oil has amazing anti-fungal properties, and it also has immune-boosting properties. Be sure to get a high-grade wild-crafted oregano oil, with a high percentage of the active ingredient called carvacrol. Oregano oil is incredible when it comes to Candida, and I use it to wipe out even the most serious of foot and nail infections. You will need to take particular care in its use, which I outline in great detail in section 4 of chapter 7 of my book Candida Crusher.
