I have a severe reaction if I miss a dose of Nystatin. The later the missed dose, the worse the reaction: intense rash on chest, face, ear, 1 calf/ankle. The calf/ankle swell as well. The itch/burn of the rash is a true torture & takes several days of treatment (2-3 weeks) to disappear. I wash/rinse the affected area with povidone iodine, apply coconut oil to ease dryness, & ten apply clotrimazole (aka: Gynelotrim) from the feminine hygiene section of the drug store 2xs a day.
