  1. Yes this article was useful – although I am being treated at the moment by a Naturopath who I have a lot of faith in I am still having lots of ongoing problems with the gut due to hypersensitivity to many things (including herbs my body has asked for using Kinesiology).

  4. I have been researching Candida for less than a week. I do realize that there are many Quacks out there. I think that your information is really good. What bothers me is the conflicting information. Many sites say no to tomatoes and others don’t. It is really quite daunting to figure out who is right. Going gluten free has helped me in many ways but I am finding that it includes a lot more sugar in the recipes than I was used to. I grind my own grains and make everything than I can that I eat. I have been a do it yourself cook for many years. We grow the majority of our own food.

  6. I would like to leave a short exposition of my health history and query your if that constitutes a long history of Candida of which I have long been unaware. In recent years I have episodes in which I have identified itching and rashes with Candida and treated them through diet. Before that, however, I have had a long history of indigestion and acid reflux–which I have largely remedied through aloe vera juice. Before that I had athlete’s foot as a child and my toenails are still laden with fungus. However, since switching to stevia (away from sugar), the toenails have become easier to clip. So, from what I have described, have I had a long, continuous history of Candida?

    1. Fungus & candida go hand in hand from what I understand .. both a fungus. I am fighting fungus getting on the candida, and then will do parasites & heavy metals.

    1. Hi just read your comment honey, have you tried using prebiotic, prebiotic, colon cleanse and vitamins d3 altogether? It does take quite a few months on them to get better but it does work, also how do you sleep? As I have ended up with sleep apnea due to years of having trouble with candida overgrowth problems, also its worth being tested for SIBO as this is hard to be detected unless you get the specific tests for it, good luck with your recovery, you can get clear it take lots of time prebiotic and patience, also try taking wheatgrass it gives you some restored energy x

  12. hello, I’ve been dealing with constipation for awhile now, and I’ve noticed sometimes the stools produced look almost fungal. so after a bunch of research I noticed what I produced looks like stools of candida overgrowth patients, which led me to look into the possibility of a candida overgrowth. before I jump headfirst into this program I want to be certain that this is the issue. I’m a little worried that if I check with my doctor to be sure i’ll get misdiagnosed (ive been to the doctor before about constipation, they just gave me a colonoscopy and said I had the ‘gut of an old man’ and that I just had to deal with it’ this was two years ago and after several diet and lifestyle changes the problem is still very apparent. I’ve dealt with athletes foot and jock itch before but they went away relatively easily with the use of tinactin, but my gut problems have not gone away. now that background info is out of the way here is my question, is there a way I can test for this myself to be sure or should I just take the risk of a possible misdiagnosis and pay my doctor a visit? thank you.

    1. I have just read your issue.
      I am suffering from candida for years. It won’t be healed through miracle. It takes years until you rebalance your gut flora.
      Any doctor who will hear about that you see candida in your stool will categorise you as nuts. If you feel you are right ask for a stool test at your GP.

      1. There are various other tests for candida. Are you bloating after sweets or eating generally? Does your tongue white? etc. there are long tests all over the internet.
      2. Many cases you won’t know 100% what is your real problem. So you need to change your diet – as you did- eliminate all sugar, wheat and stay on very low carbs. This will solve the ‘old man’s gut’ problem as well.
      3. With such a diet you can help your body to recover from anything. (bad bacteria strive on sugar, candida also)
      4. There are general antifungal, antibacterial supplements that could be useful in any condition besides the diet.
      (coconut oil, garlic, neem oil, cranberries supplement, cloves, etc)
      5. Also incorporate probiotics daily and fiber from flax seed or psyllium husks.

      It takes a lot of time to get back your energy level; and at the beginning you will notice that your condition even worse for a short time.

  16. Hello! My mom (64) has a bad case of Onycholysis (nails de-touching from nail bed). Two years ago, she had a nail removed. The Dr. sent a sample to the lab and discovered two types of candida in her body. She did not take any antibiotics. Currently, the nail has de-touched again and needs to be removed. We are thinking of doing a laser treatment. Do you think this is a good idea?

    Among other symptoms: heart burn, ears plugging up and feels as though something is her throat all the time.

    My mom has changed her diet, decreased stress and working on lifestyle (exercise), but this still persists. Any advice? Also, how much CanXida should she take? (how many pills/day and for how long).

  17. My husband has had over the last 5 years 3 rounds of Cipro for an infection that never existed . He was given gentamicin ? IV
    Since being given all these drugs he now has joint pain in every joint of his fingers esp his wrist and first finger . He also has it in his toes too . He has slightly swollen fingers . He has had mri and these show no arthritis He is in so much pain . Does this sound like yeast infection . He also has a rash on his back which is slightly raised and has had an itchy face too ,

  19. Hi i would just like to know..what particular test will i asked to my GP to get tested for candida please…i had history of yeastinfection and had my monistat trestment for 3 days last march and now i think its coming back again..im nust worried.

      1. I live in USA near Canadian boarder and we have snow all winter. In March every year I get yeast infection. Mold starts developing in March when snow is melting and turns to rain. Mold, eating sugar and gluten all together I get yeast infection. Dress with loose clothes at bedtime too.

  22. Hi. I have been watching your videos for the last few days. Also took the candida quiz on yeastinfection.org. And the result was that I have severe Candida. I also wanted to know whether your diet can help in removing fungal dandruff. I went to a doctor here in India, and I found out I have fungal dandruff which leads to itchy flakes around my nose. He told me it’s Seborrheic Dermatitis. He prescribed me to use a anti fungal shampoo and gave a anti fungal cream for my nose. But it just never goes away. Will your diet reduce dandruff as well? I have been losing my hair because of it. I am really worried about going bald.

I have noticed that I have severe jock itch, in the folds of my groin & it’s causing peeling, broken skin, & blisters on my outer labia, I shaved the outer region, but after going to GA for 3 wks, & dealing with humid, rainy weather, it’s gotten worse. It’s spread to between my breasts, likely from me scratching. I am going to see my PCP soon, what tests should I ask for regarding the Candida/fungal infection?     I am Narasimharao suffering from IBS 5 years. My endoscopy is with small haitus hernia, barium meal test , colonoscopy was normal. My stool come as thin and semi solid. I am using pantaprazole and levosulpride for relief. Without these medicines i cant do any thing. My past history is i am old alcoholic(vodka) and have many stress full years .   28. I was reading your candida crusher shopping listing, I do not eat meats because bloat my belly and makes me fart the most heinous odor. Eggs are better digested in my guts, still some putrid odor comes in 30 minutes of eating. I do not digest proteins and as well nuts and seeds. I cannot eat raw vegetables, especially greens, I can eat steamed and baked vegetables. I can digest very well some grains as quinoa, amaranth, brown rice, millet, buckwheat and gf oats ( eat sometimes). I never drink alcohol, I never smoke, I never used preconceptions pills, never sodas, i used to eat chocolate, cream cheese, cakes, etc, no anymore, I am very skinny all contrary that your test scores said, my problems started in 2010 after the doctors sent me antibiotics to kill the Helicobacter Pylori, since that time I am the sickly person in earth. I already I am in a very strict diet because of allergies. Looking to be heal, I already wasted so much money in my health. I am poor painful and needy.

  29. I give my dog (45lbs yellow dog mix) 1 tbsp of goat milk kefir everyday – she has had to have antibiotics over the years due to injuries but I believe the daily kefir has kept any skin issues away – she’s very healthy!

    2. Yes, i too siffer from candida & am sure i have interstial cystitis – definitely a link as vaginal Yeast infections can cause uti’s which when not managed can lead to interstitial cystitis. That’s what I’m dealing with now & it is so painful. It’s so bad, i am going to get tested for pelvic inflammatory disease. 🙁

  37. I am working with a naturopath but I still have many questions. My main one is do you have to eat low fodmap foods on the candida diet? For so long I thought it was IBS and so now I am too anxious to reintroduce things like garlic and onion – which sucks because they are so good for fighting candida but I am terrified of feeling the awful nausea I get when I eat. Do people with candida often have issues with high fodmap foods?

  41. I have developed sever confusion, brain fog, uncoordination. And I have noticed it is at its worst upon waking and about half hour after eating. I also “fall asleep” every time I eat. Not a nap–i literally fall asleep in the middle of activity. I blow positive on a breathalyzer. Went to doctor who did blood work and said there’s nothing wrong with me. I have not drank alcohol since 1995. I am afraid to drive. But must work. Could Candida be causing my symptoms?? I am very frustrated and worried.

      Yes, I’ve listened to Eric Bakkers video clip on YT which talks about candida converting sugar & yeast into ethanol which has seen people blow over the limit on breathalyzer s. This scares me as I i don’t drink alcohol bit have sevire candida & “hangover-like” headaches.

  55. 3 months ago I had a bad attack of sciatica and was put on several strong meds. Fortunately it cleared up and I’m now about 3 weeks completely med free. Now although I still have some back pain and problems with a painful knee, could be bursitis, my main concern is the bloating and queasiness that started about 4/5 weeks ago which starts when I wake up and is all day but clears up during the evening. Could this be Candida which started because of all the meds I’ve had to take. I’m a bit concerned about the grapefruit seed in your tablets as I have to take statins for which grapefruit is a no no.     I have completed your online test and the result says severe/high candida. I suffer with pretty much every symptom, to the point where I genuinely believe I have been misdiagnosed the past 10 years. I have been diagnosed and medicated for Anxiety & Stress, diagnosed with IBS, diagnosed with eczema, been to the doctors about severe skin rashes/flare ups under my armpits and around my boobs (this was horrific) I have also had flat ups across my chest, neck, legs etc. I have been to the doctors a fair few times about acid reflux and fatigue. I have had to have a number of anti biotics for issues such as infections and also I have had BV symptoms a fair few times. As a child I suffered with athletes foot, eczema and asthma but grew out of it. I have suffered with acid reflux so badly the last few months the doctor ordered me to do a stool test to check to see if I have a stomach infection, apparently this come back normal with no stomach infections so she has now allowed me to start my prescription of 20mg omeprazole to slow down the acid reflux – I’m unsure if the stool test included checking for candida???

    Anyway, I’m not sure what to do. I mentioned candida to 2 doctors the past couple of years but they’ve never taken my suggestion seriously saying it’s unlikely.

    I don’t know what to do. Any advice will help.

    1. Have you tried contacting a naturopath or integrative doctor? They should be able to help. Dr. Eric Bakker has retired and all he does now is provides information on his YouTube channel. I suggest you find a naturopath in your region to consult your case.

  67. I had great difficulty ordering the candida. There just seemed to be so much confusion with your web sight. I really would like to get it. It kept telling me my shipping information was wrong. Plus my bank got a notice you were trying to get money but the bank even said there was something very wrong with the info they were getting from you. . So now I have to pay only with a check. I’ve Done a lot of viewing and reading of your web sites and really think you are the best source of info on this candida infection subject. But my bank told me they think it’s a scam.   69. Yes I believe we have spoke before some time ago. I have taken antibiotics since I can remember and birth control and steroids. I have had many doctors none knew anything about what I am going through. I had a doctor in Kentucky who knew the minute we talked but then he prescribed me an antibiotic and that did not work so i was given a stronger one that i could not take it made me really sick, I would say I believe I have Candidiasis ?overgrowth I know it is in my blood. Apparently not . the doctor I am see now I have met twice ,did not know what to do she prescribed me scabies cream, lice shampoo and you guessed it some more antibiotics I have been taking neem organic Neem caps 2 am 2 pm 600 mg 2xa day now for 3 days I had flea like parasites coming out of my eye brow and bites on my upper back now I have a tiny mealie worm it yellow with black head . they are just burrowing into my eye lids and forehead the neem oil and caps seem to be slowing them down maybe they well die off. okay hear is the kicker I told her I well not take antibiotics unless I well die if not. I have real bad swelling in both legs now ankle joint on left was broken before. Weird sores on legs two or three sea salt baths helped. anyway back to the doctor prescribed me IVERMECTIN 3MG TABLET take 4 pills one time one day then in 2 weeks get 4 more pills.   74. The last couple of years have gotten steadily worse. Gastroenterologist stretched my esophagus said my stomach was inflamed sent me the bill, ordered SIBO testing(negative).     Well, this old gal was unable to figure out how to get your emails. I have been suffering with candida for many years. Stool specimen verified 5 yrs ago. Was hospitalized 2x almost died as ate thru my gut, but dx was diverticulitis. (diagnosed 35 yrs ago) 2nd hospital stay were gonna remove part of colon, fortunately I had maxed out my ins ! I kept telling them pain was not on side but in lower abdomen to no avail. I am writing this so others take this insidious killer seriously so it doesnt get as bad as mine. I have every symptom on your list & then some. Live alone & for a while thought I was getting senile. depression & lack of energy is immobilizing. I have managed to calm it down in the past, but this time, horrendous, as my joints ached so much. Began strict diet again 2 days ago, but hope u can now send all since u have my email.   95. I downloaded your pdf’s. Will this help get rid of seborrhea of the scalp since it is a fungal or yeast infection. I do have gastric symptoms as well but mainly seborrea of the scalp.
