How Digestive Enzymes Help Reduce Candida Levels

by Eric Bakker N.D.

There is a fair amount of misinformation about digestive enzymes when it comes to their role in the management of Candida. So, although I do recommend using them, I think it is imperative to understand how digestive enzymes help overcome Candida infections.

However, before taking digestive enzymes to manage Candida, you should confirm that you actually have that problem. If you’re assuming that Candida is your problem, there is only a 50% chance that you are right. Once you have determined that you are dealing with a Candida infection, digestive enzymes certainly have a role to play. Many people think digestive enzymes are helpful because they break the cell wall of the Candida or because they kill harmful bacteria. The truth is that digestive enzymes don’t directly kill Candida. Instead, these enzymes improve and facilitate digestion. A powerful digestive system can overcome Candida and bacterial problems.

Digestive enzymes improve the fermentation of food in the gut. The improved digestive process encourages populations of healthy bacteria to grow. These healthy bacteria can then displace the Candida populating your gut. In other words, digestive enzymes are not about killing Candida. They are about building a robust, healthy digestive system that can overcome any infection, not just Candida.

If you are going to include digestive enzymes in your diet, it’s critical to include the rights ones. It is essential to include probiotics in the mix. Probiotics help with digestion and reduce gas and bloating. Make sure that the enzymes you are taking are compatible with the probiotics. Don’t just take a random combination of digestive enzymes and probiotics.

Enzymes to include in your digestive enzyme mix include glucoamylase, hemicellulase, and amylase. These are very small, very specific carbohydrate busting enzymes. By breaking down carbohydrates into smaller components, your healthy bacteria can ferment carbohydrates more readily. More efficient fermentation in the intestines is going to help you avoid all sorts of health problems.

I recommend including the specific enzyme serratiopeptidase in your digestive enzyme mix. Serratiopeptidase binds to “junk” molecules and helps escort them out of your body. Serratiopeptidase can also improve the working of antibodies.

Before formulating CanXida Restore, I did a lot of research into the best digestive enzyme and probiotic combinations. The result is a product that has received great feedback from consumers. CanXida Restore includes all the enzymes mentioned above plus compatible probiotics. The particular combination of enzymes and probiotics found in CanXida Restore results in reduced bloating and higher numbers of beneficial bacteria in your gut. CanXida Restore also improves the digestive functions of the stomach, pancreas, and small intestine.
