Food Is The Best Medicine: Eating Right For Your Candida Cleanse

Let me start off by saying, the only way you’re going to eradicate Candida, harmful bacteria, and poor gut function is to eat fresh foods. The fresher and cleaner the foods you eat, the better your gut is going to be. The more packaged and processed food you eat, the worse off your gut. Eating well is the key to gut recovery. Some of the best foods for a Candida cleanse are as follows:

Alliums: Alliums include chives, spring onion, shallots, red onions, green onions, and garlic, to name a few. Alliums are antifungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory. They also have a great liver cleansing ability that allows them to pull mycotoxins out of the bloodstream. Alliums also contain quercetin, which has a beneficial effect on your immune function.

Cruciferous vegetables: This includes broccoli, cauliflower, collards, kale, Brussel sprouts, Kohlrabi, and others. These are extremely nutrient-dense foods that contain minerals, vitamins, and different compounds that are health-promoting. Like the Alliums, cruciferous vegetables are also a great source of prebiotics. You should be eating both Alliums and Cruciferous vegetables every single day.

Gee: Oils and fats are necessary in your diet, and gee is a wonderful option. I often recommend gee to clients with Candida, SIBO, or parasites if their stool test showed low butyrate levels. Gee contains butyric acid, a compound that benefits the cells lining the digestive tract. I have found that gee is particularly beneficial for inflammatory bowel disease, but it’s also excellent for IBS and Candida.

Coconut oil: Coconut oil is another fat that I recommend including in your diet. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, caprylic acid, and other fatty acids. These monounsaturated long-chain fatty acids have antifungal properties.

Probiotic foods: These are fantastic foods but be careful. Many clients I’ve seen are ingesting several cultured and fermented foods each day. They are drinking kefir, eating yogurt, adding sauerkraut to their plate, and chowing down on kimchi. The problem is that they are not good foods if you’re gut is really messed up. It’s not true that you’re suddenly going to build an impressive level of beneficial bacteria but loading up on these foods. Go slowly with this group of foods.

Vegetables: There are several great options. Fresh green beans are excellent when it comes to healing the gut. So are sprouts such as alfalfa sprouts and mung bean sprouts.

Spices: Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, turmeric, ginger, and garlic are some of the spices/herbs that are great for the gut.

Supplements: High-quality anti-Candida supplements are a great addition to your diet. That’s why I created CanXida Remove. CanXida Remove contains several antimicrobial compounds. Take one or two tablets a day to help with your Candida cleanse.
