Constipation And Milk: Is There A Connection?

Milk can have an impact on bowel function, but not necessarily constipation. For example, lactose intolerance generally causes diarrhea.

Lactose is a sugar found in milk. The small intestine makes an enzyme called lactase, which breaks lactose down into two smaller sugars, galactose and glucose. People who don’t have enough lactase aren’t able to break lactose down efficiently. The result is a constellation of symptoms, including bloating, cramping, pain, diarrhea, and gas. These symptoms usually onset within two hours or three hours of drinking milk. We call that a dairy intolerance, not an allergy, because lacking an enzyme is not an allergy. Allergies are reactions mediated by the immune system rather than being due to an enzyme deficiency.

Unlike lactose intolerance, a true allergy to cow’s milk can cause constipation. There’s a protein in dairy milk called casein. For some people, beta-casein triggers an immune response resulting in bloating, cramping, pain, and, sometimes, small hard lumps of stool, which are hard to pass.

Some people with lactose intolerance take lactase tablets to make up for their body’s inability to produce enough of that enzyme. But in my opinion, if you’ve got a problem with milk, avoid it.

If you are experiencing constipation and you’re drinking milk, stop the milk to see what happens. If your constipation clears up, you may have your answer.

Getting The Most Out Of CanXida Remove

CanXida Remove can be taken at any time profitably, but it’s best taken after you’ve done some detoxification, and your digestive system is working reasonably well. CanXida Remove and Restore are great to take right at the beginning of your treatment. The idea is that you rebuild, repair, and cleanse the whole digestive system. I designed the CanXida line of products for people who have long-term gut problems and want to stay well for years to come.

If you have a reasonably healthy gut to start with, Rebuild can be part of your Candida routine right from the beginning. However, if you regularly drink alcohol and eat junk food, I’d wait until later in your treatment. The same holds for anyone who is carrying extra weight. My suggestion is that you follow the Candida Crusher recommendations and cleanse the bowel for at least a few weeks. You can opt for a light, medium, or more in-depth detoxification that could take a few months.

If you go the detoxification route first, once you start to feel a little bit better, you can start with taking one Rebuild pill a day. I know some people who take two Rebuilds per day, even three. Other people don’t eat a very good diet but take CanXida Rebuild while they’re trying to clean up their gut. There are no hard and fast rules, but generally, the best time to take CanXida Rebuild is after a bowel cleanse.

CanXida Rebuild is particularly effective when you’re eating a healthy diet. One per day will suit most people. But if you’ve been feeling weak and tired, there’s no reason why you can’t take two per day on an ongoing basis. I would only recommend using three a day for a short time and only if you’re very fatigued and need to build yourself up.

One dose a day of CanXida Rebuild ensures you are getting all the trace elements you need. You’re also getting the herbs included in CanXida Rebuild that stop SIBO or candida coming back up again once you’ve cleaned the gut.

Many patients I have stay on CanXida Rebuild long term. They take one to two per day, and it keeps their gut in great shape because it’s the only multi I’ve ever seen with a backend built around an antimicrobial formulation. It even contains mastic gum, which helps to inhibit Helicobacter pylori.

Along with Rebuild, there is CanXida Restore, which allows for the ultimate regeneration of the gut. The combination of Rebuild and Restore works beautifully. I also strongly recommend including CanXida Remove as part of your digestive health treatment plan. I always recommend people to take all three products. Of course, supplements are only part of the answer. It’s crucial that you also address your diet, exercise, sleep, stress, and overall lifestyle.

Alzheimer’s Disease And Candida: What’s The Connection?

With an aging population, Alzheimer’s disease is a growing concern. I’ve been asked before if the plaque from Candida exactly matches the brain amyloid plaque in Alzheimer’s. At this time, it’s speculation that Candida and Alzheimer’s are connected in some way.

What causes the amyloid plaques to form is Alzheimer’s remains unknown. Some people say it could be aluminum causing the problem. There are many other theories. It’s still quite early when it comes to an understanding of neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and ALS.

Many people I’ve seen with Alzheimer’s had significant gut problems before developing Alzheimer’s. Often these clients have been taking medication like proton pump inhibitors for a long time. It’s also not uncommon for them to give a history of eating a poor diet and drinking a lot of soda over the years.

Based on my clinical experience, I believe there is a link between Alzheimer’s and poor digestive system functioning. I think that link exists not only with Alzheimer’s, but with many diseases. The relationship between gut health and your overall health is why I recommend a very clean diet, a low-stress lifestyle, and a generally healthy way of eating and living. A healthy lifestyle, including what you eat, is undoubtedly going to help keep neurodegenerative conditions at bay.

There are all sorts of reasons why people get sick. The common denominator for sickness is inflammation. What upregulates inflammation is poor immune function. Where does the bulk of the immune system reside? In the digestive system. As a result, when the gut isn’t functioning correctly, the immune system becomes dysfunctional, and chronic inflammation is the result. Chronic inflammation has been linked to a whole host of diseases, not just ones involving the neurological system.

Excellent digestive health leads to more appropriate immune response, a lower level of inflammation, and a decreased risk of disease.

If you’re worried about a possible Candida-Alzheimer’s link, do a comprehensive stool analysis. This test will alert you to any issues with Candida, intestinal bacteria, and parasites. Correct the imbalances, and you’ll have done yourself a favor if a link between Candida and Alzheimer’s is confirmed. Currently, the existence of such a link is still speculation.

Sugar Cravings And Candida

In this third part of my series on Candida indicators, the focus is on food cravings. When I see clients with a significant Candida problem, they will likely report food cravings. Cravings also occur with certain parasite infections and different problems with gut bacteria (dysbiosis). Both SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and issues with the bacteria in the colon can cause cravings.

There are many reasons why you might be craving sugar? You could have blood sugar dysregulation. If you have a higher body mass index, there could be a problem with satiety and hunger hormones (e.g., ghrelin). Hormonal dysregulation can certainly trigger food cravings. However, in my clinical opinion, the most common reason people crave sweet foods is that they have gut bacteria or gut yeast that want to be fed as well. I notice this in particular with patients who want that little bit of sweet after a meal, usually their evening meal. They have finished their meal and now find themselves craving chocolate, candy, ice cream, or something similar. Those cravings can also surface in response to the blood sugar low that can occur in the afternoon.

If you find yourself regularly craving sugar, it’s worthwhile being checked for a Candida problem, particularly a Candida problem in your digestive system. I recommend having a stool test to see if Candida is detected. The stool test also reveals your beneficial bacteria counts and whether you have an overabundance of harmful bacteria in your gut. Having a stool test is even more critical if you crave sugar and have the issues identified in parts one and two of this series: a history of hospitalization and medication use (Part One) and symptoms originating from multiple bodily systems (Part Two).

Stay tuned for part four of this series, which looks at the digestive signs and symptoms that can indicate a Candida infection.

Candida Crusher: A Solution For Severe Candida Infections

I have previously discussed important topics in Candida management. Firstly, a history of frequent medication use or hospitalizations often means you are at increased risk of Candida. Next, if you have symptoms stemming from multiple systems in your body (“multiple positive symptom matches”), this is also in keeping with Candida. I have also explored food craving and digestive problems in an earlier report.

Lastly, what are the emotional, mental, and physical warning signs of a significant Candida infection? I’m referring to someone who has been unwell for a long time. If that is the situation you are in, you may have gone to one, ten, or fifty doctors looking for help with your symptoms, and yet you are still suffering. You may feel quite desperate and anxious, particularly if the symptoms are affecting your quality of life.

When I see clients in my clinic, these are some of the findings that I consider to be Candida warning signs:

1. Multiple dietary supplements: I see people on 20, 30, and even 50 different supplements. Using that number of supplements is a key indicator that is something wrong with several body systems. It’s also a sign that the treatment plan needs to be modified. You can’t keep taking 100 supplements a day for the rest of your life.

2. Symptoms are decreasing quality of life: If your physical discomfort is affecting the quality of your life, something needs to be done. You could be experiencing mental malfunctions such as anxiety, depression, and mood swings. Brain fog could be interfering with your social and professional lives. Bloating and gas could be causing outward or inward problems that are a source of embarrassment. Your sleep may be so bad that it is hard to function during the day.

Whatever your combination of symptoms, you, and often the people around you, are suffering.

If you recognize yourself in the descriptions above, have a look at my book, Candida Crusher. This book has helped thousands and thousands of people. At the very least, identify your key indicators and make the logical diet and lifestyle changes. Make some good positive movements towards improving your health. By taking those steps, you are opening the door to a much better quality of life.
